Your sending domain
How to make the mail we send for your domain come from your own address, signed as yours.
What it does
The "Sending domain" page makes the mail we send for your domain come from your own address, and be signed as yours, so your subscribers see your name instead of ours. It needs a domain you have connected to your Site; without one, the page links you to the Domain page.
Newsletter campaigns use your own domain only if you have a newsletter level. The newsletter included with Plus and Pro sends from our address. Mailboxes on this domain do not need a level.
Set it up
1. Click "Set up sending". If your domain uses our DNS, we add the records for you.
2. Otherwise the page lists records to add at the company that manages your domain’s DNS. Add them exactly as shown. Most providers want only the part of the name before your domain (for example "em123", not "em123.example.com").
3. Click "Verify". Each record shows "Found" or "Not found yet". Changes can take up to 24 hours to appear, so if you just added them, wait and try again.
Once it is verified, the page shows the address campaigns send from. Link tracking uses your domain once your branded link records are verified too.
The DMARC policy
Your domain also needs a DMARC policy before it can send. It only monitors and never blocks mail. If your domain uses our DNS, we add one for you, and leave yours alone if it already has one. If you manage your DNS yourself, add the DMARC record the page shows, unless your domain already has one.
Stop sending from your domain
Click "Stop sending from this domain" and confirm. Campaigns then send from our address again, and the setup for your domain is removed. If you manage your DNS yourself, we cannot change it, so delete the records the page lists at your DNS provider afterwards.
